Diane Erbe Schantz - Massage Therapist / Yoga Instructor
Since
discovering yoga and meditation through a mentor in college, Diane
has been enthusiastically seeking transformative practices ever
since. Over the past 15 years, she has explored a wide range of
yoga, movement and meditation styles including Vipassana Meditation,
Continuum Movement, Kripalu DansKinetics, Kundalini and Integral
Yoga. From 2001-2004 she honed her skills by undergoing intensive
training with Bobbie Ellis-Bianculli, the founder of Soma Yoga and
Embodiment Meditation in Highland Park, New Jersey, completing a 500
hour Yoga Teacher Training and continuing studies at Soma. To heal
after a surgery in 2004, she moved temporarily to Yogaville, the
Integral Yoga Ashram in Buckingham, Virginia and completed the
Living Yoga Training there. Additionally, she is a certified
YogaRythmics teacher and recently completed the Radiant Child Yoga
Teacher Training with Shakta Kaur Khalsa before starting her own
business, YogaRama Kids. Her teaching style has been strongly
influenced by the work of Eric Schiffman, Swami Satchidananda,
Angela Farmer, Amy Weintraub, Connie Miller, and the late Esther
Meyers. Currently, she teaches Soma, Hatha, Prenatal, Mommy & Me,
Children’s yoga and YogaRhythmics.
Through her
first yoga teacher training, Diane was introduced to the magic of
Thai Yoga Bodywork and has been using it to assist her students ever
since. She completed a Level 2 Certification in Thai Massage (Nuad
Boran) with her teacher, Michael Buck of the Vedic Conservatory.
The connection between yoga and massage were clear, and Diane was
soon inspired to study massage therapy for a year at Health Choices
Holistic Massage School in Hillsborough, NJ from 2003-2004 where she
completed a 630 hour certification plus continuing studies. Diane
has been practicing massage ever since. She offers integrative
massage therapy including Swedish, Neuromuscular, Shiatsu and Thai
massage techniques to address the varying needs of her clients.
